POSTPONEMENT TILL AFTER WAR
AUCKLAND CENTENNIAL CELEBRATIONS (United Press Association) AUCKLAND, September 25. The postponement of the Auckland centennial celebrations until after the war was decided upon at a meeting of the metropolitan executive of the Auckland Provincial Centennial Council. The step was taken owing to the great difficulties arising out of the war in arranging celebrations that would worthily represent the occasion.
