Continued support came for Government loans on the Invercargill Stock Exchange yesterday. There was a quiet but steady market for bank shares, New Zealands having buyers at £2/2/-, Nationals at £l/19/6 and Unions at £6 17/6. Industrials, both Commonwealth and Dominion, were very steady. One or two lines were active in the overseas section, Lyells having buyers at £1 7/6; both issues of Zincs were sought after.

Wright has received the following cabled report on the Colombo tea auction of September 24: At yesterday’s sale of 1,250,000 lb competition was keen and all grades advanced. Common grades were Id dearer, and medium and good quality were Id to 2d up on last week’s quotations. One million pounds has been catalogued for the sale next week. NORTH BROKEN HILL’S PROFIT . (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, September 25. The directors of North Broken Hill Limited advised the Stock Exchange by cable today that the net profit for the year ended June 30 was £397,418.
