BETTER PICTURES FOR FAY WRAY
RKO’s biggest publicity build-up is being trained on Fay Wray. The studio declares that the brunette is destined to become its No. 1 dramatic stai’ in 1940, Ginger Rogers notwithstanding. Since her eye-opening performance in “Wildcat Bus,” the studio executives have been scanning two Broadway plays as possible means of bringing her back to favour in a more pretentious way. Inferior stories were given to Miss Wray in the midst of a brilliant career.
