TO ENTER CAMP AT ONCE
MEN DRAWN IN BALLOT NOT EXEMPT FROM SERVICE OVERSEAS LATER (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, September 23. Men who are drawn in the ballot for territorial service, which will begin tomorrow, and who are passed medically fit and are not exempted will be expected to go into camp immediately, according to an announcement by the Minister of National Service (the Hon. R. Semple).
The Minister emphasized that men •selected for territorial service in the ballot this week will not be exempt from service overseas at a later date end would be included in future ballots for overseas service. The number of men registered m the first division of the general reserve, he said, was approximately 93,000. Asked whether there was likely to be another ballot before Christmas, Mr Semple said that this would be entirely governed by circumstances, but if another ballot was lecessary adequate notice would be given to those called UP- ___ ____
