KIDNAPPED CHILD RECOVERED

(Received September 23, 6.30 p.m.) RIVER PINE (California), Sept. 22. A store keeper, Frank Brietenbach, said the police had in custody a man and a child. The child was later identified as the kidnapped child, Mark Detristan. Three River Pine residents seized the man and the child in the Sierra, foothills, six miles from River Pine, binding the kidnapper until the police arrived.

Two unknown persons kidnapped Mark Detristan, the three-year-old son of the prominent Count Mark Detristan and left a ransom note demanding 100.000 dollars.
