INVERCARGILL LADIES’ CLUB The following were the best scores in an L.G.U, match and the first round of an eclectic medal played at Otatara on Thursday:—Miss M. McCallum, 94-14-80; Mrs A. H. Broad, 114-32-82; Mrs J„ D. Speirs, 92-7-85; Miss Henderson, 96-10-86.

The challenge foursome brooches changed hands recently, Mrs F. G. Hall-Jones and Mrs S. R. Lowden beating Miss M. McCallum and Mrs J. D. Speirs, 2 and 1. During the week the holders beat Mrs A; C. Ford and Mrs R. C. Cook, 7 and 6.

WYNDHAM CLUB The' winner of the captain's trophy of the Wyndham Golf Club is E. A. Pankhurst. This competition is the lowest aggregate of (our out of six stroke matches. Pankhurst’s net spores were 71, 70, 73, 71, giving him a total of 285. The next best were: Irvine 289, Heath 291, Barnett 292.

The ringer competition was won by Irvine, who has been in the lead during the last month. His score of 62 gross is an excellent one; it included seven birdies. Crawford and Rout also had scores of 62, but with handicaps off, the'net scores were: Irvine, 62-6-56; Rout, 62-4-58; V. Milne, 63-4|-58£; Pankhurst, 63-4-59; Crawford, 62-24-59J.
