MOBILIZATION ON OCTOBER 2
4th Reinforcements
ORDERS TO WAIT FOR NOTICES (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, September 17. “I am glad to say the outbreak of measles which has resulted in the postponement of the calling up of men of the 4th Reinforcements has been very limited in extent,” said the Minister ol Defence (the Hon. F. Jones) . today. “After consultation with the DirectorGeneral of Health and the DirectorGeneral of Medical Services it has now been decided to proceed with the programme of concentrating men in the respective mobilization camps, and arrangements are in hand for the necessary movements of troops to begin on October 2.
“Although a further outbreak of measles is not regarded as likely, a recrudescence of the epidemic may necessitate a further postponement. of the concentration of the 4th Reinforcements. Members of this draft are therefore instructed to remain in their present employment pending receipt of an individual order 'o proceed to camp.”
