Concert At Borstal

A concert composed of musical and variety items was given by Mr W. Matthews and party at the Invercargill Borstal Institution on Saturday night. Guitar and piano accordion solos were given by Mr Matthews and Mrs Bushnell, Mr W. Tapper contributed instrumental duets and Miss I. Gray was heard in banjo-mandolin and mouthorgan solos. Conjuring and ventriloquial items and impersonations of George Elliot and George Formby were also contributed by Mr Matthews. Mrs Matthews was the accompanist. Appreciation was expressed by the Superintendent, Mr R. W. Arnold, of the programme which had been presented. i
