Many farmers in Otago are making preparations to sow wheat wher.i wheat has never been sown before, as their contribution to the war effort. The price fixed by the Government is regarded as satisfactory, and in Roxburgh and other Central Otago districts, which normally do not grow any great area of wheat, large tracts have lately been got ready for spring sowing. Wheat already sown is reported to be looking very well.
