FRUITLESS ATTACK ON CONVOY LONDON, September 13. An attack was made on a convoy off the east coast of Scotland today. The bombs fell wide and the ships were not damaged. '' MR ROOSEVELT SUPPORTED
In a speech in New York tonight, the Mayor, Mr F. H. La Guardia, who is a Republican, supported Mr Franklin D. Roosevelt’s candidature for a third term as President. “In these times I-prefer the kndwn faults of Mr Roosevelt to the unknown virtues of Mr Willkie,” he said.
