LOCHIEL WINS FORDE CUP The Lochiel team, runner-up in the Central junior Rugby football competition, beat Limehills, the season’s premier team, in a match for the Forde Cup on Centennial Park, Winton, by a margin of two points. A close and interesting game resulted, and honours were fairly even throughout. The scores were level at half-time, J. Barlett’s try for Limehills being converted by J. Kirkwood, while B. Kean scored for Lochiel, L. Cockroft converting.

Lochiel added another five points in the second half, when Irwin scored and Cockroft converted. J. Kirkwood kicked a penalty goal for Limehills. The final scores were:—

Lochiel 10, Limehills 8 Mr J. Mitchell was the referee.
