“Another Thin Man” Comes To Regent
That mystifying and inimitable screen couple, “Mr and Mrs Thin Man,” personified by William Powell and Myrna Loy, are back again in the latest adventure of a popular series. The new picture, “Another Thin Man,” comes to the Regent Theatre on Saturday. It unfolds an even more novel mystery plot than any of its predecessors, with the action faster and the dialogue more amusing than ever. William Powell once again enacts the unperturbed and debonair Nick Charles, who takes his detective work
lightly, but proves himself to be as much of a master-mind as the greatest of Scotland Yard. Two murders and a mysterious fire begin the latest doings of the “Thin Man” couple, arid the excitement and suspense continue until the final fade-out. The story is laid in New York, the scene of the first “Thin Man” triumph, and gives Powell a chance not only to portray Nick Charles as a shrewd, suave detective, but also to enjoy a delightful domestic comedy, with Nora Charles and a brand new character, a Thin Man, jun.
