HOMEWARD BOUND
GERMAN DIRIGIBLE
SIXTY-NINE PEOPLE ON BOARD
SIR H. WILKINS’S HONEYMOON
(United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) (Rec. 8.55 p.m.) New York, June 2. A message from Lakehurst states that the Graf Zeppelin departed at 10.12 p.m. for Seville. Preparations moved like clockwork, and the movable stub mast worked perfectly, facilitating the leave-taking. The dirigible carried 23 passengers besides 46 of a crew. The weather for the departure was favourable.
. Among the passengers were Sir Hubert and Lady Wilkins, who stated that they were on a belated honeymoon. Sir Hubert said: “We shall spend a month in Switzerland, then begin work on a book about my four expeditions.” Lady Wilkins carried a small black cat with white paws and whiskers. She remarked that it would bring good luck. They found a honeymoon cake upon the cabin table when they entered the dirigible.
