WINTER SHOW
OTAGO A. AND P. SOCIETY. HEADQUARTERS TO BE SHIFTED. (Special to the Times.) Dunedin, June 2. At the annual meeting of the Otago A. and P. Society to-night Mr James Begg was elected president, and Mr H. Turner vice-president for the ensuing year. An important step was taken in regard to the removal of the headquarters of the society’s Winter Show from the present premises in the Brydone Hall to Tahuna Park, where it is hoped in the future to hold a winter exhibition in conjunction with the Manufacturers’ Association. Last year the committee of the society was authorized to undertake negotiations with this end in view, but it was hampered by the restriction that' the Crawford street premises had first to be sold. At to-night’s meeting it was decided to empower the committee to go ahead with the scheme without the immediate sale of the Brydone Hall property and this should clear the way for an arrangement between the A. and P. Society and the Manufacturers’ Associatioa.
