PRINCE OF WALES
TIN MINE INSPECTED.
(British Official Wireless.)
Rugby, May 30.
The Prince of Wales to-day went down 400 feet deep in a tin mine in Helston, in Cornwall, wearing overalls. He was taken down the shaft in a cage worked by electricity and walked through the workings of the mine, having to stoop in places to negotiate the tunnels. The process of excavation and the extraction of the tin from the ore was explained to him. As the Duke of Cornwall the Prince draws revenue from the tin mines of his Duchy and he was very interested in all he saw.
