(Rec. 9.20 p.m.) . Paris, May 29. As a result of Mussolini’s violent speeches' it is unlikely that the French Government will resume negotiations with Italy at present. A recent note from Rome will remain unanswered until there are more favourable circumstances.

“Pertinax,” in the Echo de Paris, says that now Italy has shown that she intends to persist in her original naval programme, France will be constrained to revive hers, even reinforce it considerably.
