DOMINION BANDS

NEXT CONTEST AT WELLINGTON. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, May 29. The annual band contest (held at Wanganui last year and at Dunedin this year) is to take place at Wellington in February next, the programme running the full week from February 23. On the recommendation of the Wellington Band Contest Committee, the North Island Brass Bands Association has appointed Mr J. J. Kelly, of Hamilton, Sydney, to be the adjudicator. Mr E. Palliser, Wellington, will be the supervisor. No decision has yet been reached as to where the open air events are to take place, but it is likely to be at Athletic Park where the previous contests were held.
