' BRITISH CONTRACT

EXPENDITURE OF SIX MILLIONS

NORTH ATLANTIC SERVICE

(United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) (Rec. 9.10 p.m.) London, May 29; John Brown, Clydebank, has secured an order for the construction of a new Cunarder costing £6,000,000 for an express service between Channel ports and New York. Its construction will provide employment for thousands and take at least three years. The engines will be of 600,000 horsepower and the over-all length 1000 ft. It will take 4000 passengers and carry’ a crew of 800.
