FIRM TONE MAINTAINED. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) (Rec. 8.50 p.m.) Sydney, May 28. At the wool sales the offering comprised 9,507 bales, of which 8,810 were sold, also 1,471 privately. There was good competition from the Japanese, German and French sections, but Yorkshire buyers were quiet. The market continued firm. Greasy Merino brought to 2 Id.
