ALLEGED MURDERER
DUSSELDORF MAN’S BOAST.
BESTIAL CHARACTER REVEALED.
(United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) Berlin, May 27.
A report from Dusseldorf states that a further examination, of Peter Kuerten, who was arrested on charges relating to Jack the Ripper” murders, emphasizes his bestial character. He told a correspondent that “the sooner they finish me the better.” The police announce that apart from the confession they have proved his guilt for six murders and four attempts. Kuerten declares that if he had .not been arrested he would have committed a new murder shortly, as he already had the feeling of blood surging up and had to take another life or bust. He declares that when aged only 16 he strangled a girl-in the wood and that ,18 months later he strangled a nine-year-old boy. Kuerten has been reidentified by the girls he attacked, and he recognized and talked to all of them.
