HOUSE DAMAGED
FIRE AT LOWER HUTT. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, May 27. A fire broke out in a five-roomed house in Kings road, Lower Hutt, at 3.55 this morning. Mr S. Langridge and his wife and children just managed to escape in their night a(tire. Two of the rooms were completely gutted and. the others damaged. It is believed that the cause of the outbreak was a defective chimney. . The house is owned by Mr J. O’Brien, but the insurances are not available. . ' . '
