FORCED DOWN
AEROPLANE DAMAGED AT KAL KOURA. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, May 26. An aeroplane controlled by Pilot Fowler with G. Nichols, of Gisborne, as a passenger, had engine trouble when flying past Kaikoura to-day and was forced down. The machine ran into a gorse hedge, the propeller being split and the under carriage damaged. The occupants of the aeroplane were uninjured.
