MINISTERIAL. The Hon. P. A. de la Perrelle, Minister of Internal Affairs, arrived in Invercargill by the express on Saturday night, and later proceeded to his home in Winton. He will be in attendance at the Ministerial chambers in the Invercargill Post Office to-day from 11 a.m. until noon and from 1 p.m. until' 2.30 p.m. in order to receive deputations on affairs relating to his departments.'

■ Mr J. Bateman travelled to Christchurch by last evening’s express. Mr George K. Nicolson, of the staff of the Middle School, has been appointed an assistant in the Wyndham District High School. The transfer has been gazetted of Major J. L. Cameron, from 2nd. C. Battalion, Hauraki Regiment, to the Ist. C. Battalion, Southland Regiment, with seniority as from June 20.

The Gazette in a recent issue announces that Messrs Henry Frank Penlington and David Dickie Steadman are South Island primary school representatives on the Teachers’ Appeal Board.
