DOMINION STATISTICS. SOUTHLAND’S POSITION. The year 1929 marked the peak in the number of motor vehicles sold in the Dominion. At November 30, 1929 there were 7,946 cars in Southland. This represents six per cent of the total Dominion registration and works out at one car to every nine people in the province.
