“STOLE TO FEED CHILDREN.” (Per United Press Association.) New Plymouth, May 23.. When Charles Edward Wharton, aged 22, was arrested for theft of various snjall sums of money and goods from dwellings in the Tikorangi district, he admitted his guilt and told a detective he had married a widow with five children and being unemployed had stolen to feed the children. He was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. „
