Arthur Ronald Harris, aged 34, who was arrested in New Zealand on a charge ot double bigamy, appeared in the Old Bailey. When counsel detailed accused’s love affairs the judge remarked: “Don Juan is not in it with the prisoner.” In sentencing Harris to five years’ penal servitude, the Judge said that he was one of the greatest villains who had ever appeared before him.
