Amalgamated Wireless has received advice that Miss Amy Johnson left Sourabaya at 8.45 this morning to fly straight to Atamboea, but if en route it appears that the motor is not as smooth as she expects, she will land at Bima. HEADING FOR ATAMBOEA. (Rec. 10.50 p.m.) Sydney, May 22. Weltevreden reports that Miss Johnson passed over Bima at 11.30 a.m. (Bima time) heading for Atamboea. “NEVER AGAIN” LONE FLYER INTERVIEWED. ■ London, May 22. The Sourabaya-correspondent of the Daily Express interviewed Miss Johnspn, who said: “I will never do it again. ■ But perhaps I could stay in Australia for a long time and forget all the troubles of the flight and only remember the happy hours spent there.” On behalf of Miss Johnson her father has accepted the British .Empire Union’s invitation for a groat public luncheon and welcome home on her return from Australia.
