DISPUTE SETTLED
N.S.W. COALFIELDS COMPLETE AGREEMENT TERMS NOT ANNOUNCED WORK NEXT WEDNESDAY (United Frees Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) (Rec. 8.40 p.m.) Newcastle, May 22. A complete agreement for a resumption of work at the northern coal, mines was reached between the owners’ and miners' representatives. Work commences- in all the idle mines next Wednesday. The question of withdrawing free labour from the Rothbury and Northumberland mines, as well as the remission of fines and the release of imprisoned miners, will be discussed with the Premier, Mr Bavin, tomorrow. It is not anticipated that any hitch will occur. • The terms of the settlement with the miners were not announced, but it is known that the miners have accepted a wage cut and have agreed to eliminate petty' stoppages.
