GERMAN AIRSHIP

FLIGHT TO BRAZIL THE CANARY ISLANDS PASSED GOOD WEATHER CONDITIONS (United Press Assn. —By Telegraph—Copyright.) New York, May 20. A message from Teneriffe (Canary Islands) states that the Graf Zeppelin passed at 3.40 p.m. (New York standard time). The latest reports concerning the" Graf Zeppelin indicate that there has been some confusion in the timing of the flight due to the dirigible’s change of course in the neighbourhood of the Canary Islands to avoid bad weather and an attempt to reach the trade winds westward of the Canaries. The airship is now presumably well past the islands, and is proceeding for Pernambuco (Brazil) at 70 miles an hour. She is experiencing good weather. STEADY PROGRESS MADE. (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) , New York, May 2D. The Graf Zeppelin is reported to have passed Canary Islands and continues to make good speed through favourable, warm weather towards 1 Pernambuco (Brazil), where she hopes to arrive on Thursday morning. Some slight difficulty was experienced with squally side winds, but the passengers are comfortable and are taking numerous photographs.
