FALSE PRETENCES
LONG LIST OF CHARGES.

Christchurch, May 20.
Thirty-eight, charges of false pretences, involving £277, were preferred against William Thomas, a young man, to-day. They were allegedly committed at Dunedin, Oamaru, Timaru, and Christchurch. He pleaded guilty and was committed for sentence.
