With the organization of the firm of Cowley and Company, Limited, a new undertaking business will be opened in Invercargill. The new concern, which will have its headquarters in Kelvin street, will provide the latest and most modern facilities for its clients. The building which they will occupy has been remodelled on up-to-date lines and the caskets will be constructed under the supervision of Mr H. Kirkpatrick, late of Lumsden, who for the past 25 years has been engaged in the undertaking business. Mr A. W. Cowley, well-known in Invercargill, will also take an active part in the work. Included in the equipment will be a beautifully designed motor-hearse on a Hudson super six chassis, the body being planned and built by Messrs J. and R. Walker of Invercargill. The colour of the body will be beverley blue, while the drapings will be of dark blue and gold.
