TOWER COLLAPSES
THIRTEEN WOMEN KILLED.

Constantinople, May 19.
An ancient tower near Smyrna, which the superstitious villagers believed to be haunted by evil spirits, collapsed, burying a party of women who were resting at noon from their work in the opium fields. Thirteen were killed and eight seriously injured.
