NOT DEFINITELY OFF
NEGOTIATIONS WITH EGYPT.
(United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.)
Cairo, May 19,
“Negotiations with Britain have not been definitely broken off,” declared the Prime Minister, Nahas Pasha, when addressing a huge crowd which deliriously welcomed the delegates, broke the police cordon, and halted the Prime Minister’s car.
The Foreign Minister, Makram Pasha, interviewed, stated that he hoped the negotiations would soon be resumed. The breakdown, he said, was not a failure, but a step towards final success.
