QUESTIONING OF A JOURNALIST.

London, May 19. Mr MacDonald stated in the House of Commons that he had received the Newspaper Proprietors’ Association’s protest ■against the recent questioning of a journalist under the Official Secrets Act, but that he could not undertake to consider any amendment to the Act until he knew the precise grievances.
