PEAR GINGER. { Sent in by “M.G.” Winton. | Seven pounds of pears, 51bs of sugar, 2 lemons 11b of preserved ginger. Cut up the pears, ginger and lemons into-small squares. Put. into dish a layer of fruit, then a layer of sugar till all is used, let it stand for 24 hours, then cook slowly for 4 hours. If the pears are hard let them stand a day or two before using.
