London, December 28. The biggest selling organisation in the history of the world will wind up in March when the Disposals Commission will complete its liquidation of British war stores. The total realised amounted to about £680,000,000, to which another £15,000.000 will be added when the Treasury collects the monies advanced for the establishment of wartime factories. The Commission started with a staff of 4<,000 for the collecting, surveying, valuing and selling material on practically every battlefront, as well as in producing countries. It was necessary to locate thousands of boats and barges on French rivers and canals and thousands in Belgium Sales in Iraq realised £9,000,000 (mainly new roads;: in Egypt and Palestine £8,000,000 'also mostly roads). India bought £lO,000,000 worth of stores; Italy £2 500 000 and Ireland £1,000,000. The Commission’s staff now numbers only five.—Sun Special.
