(Rec. 5.5 p.m.) New York, January 17. A message from Managua, Nicaragua, states that Senor Diaz announced to-day that conservatives are unable to accept the recent offer of President Jiminez, of Costa Rica, to mediate in the armed conflict in Nicaragua.—A. and N.Z.
