The Oreti arrived at Invercargill on Sun day from Dunedin with a small quantity o cargo, including transhipments ex the Athe nic. She was timed to sail for Por Craig yesterday, but was held up owing the weather. She will leave to-day providet the wind moderates. The Calm has been held up in Por Chalmers and is now due at Bluff on Thurs day. She will leave for the north the sami day The Calm has no inward cargo fo: Bluff, but will load a quantity of merchan dise here for northern ports. The Kurow left Auckland on Saturday for Bluff, via ports. She is due here abou January 25. The Mataroa left Wellington at 7 a.m. oi Saturday for Southampton. The Scales chartered steamer Verbani: left Melbourne on Friday last for Westport where she will take in bunkers. The vesse then proceeds to Lyttelton, Wellington, Na pier and Wanganui to load wool. Tie West Cajoot left Los Angeles oi January 1 for Auckland and Wellington. Shi is expected at Auckland on January 25. The Wairuna left Napier on Wednesday last for Melbourne and Sydney. The Tamaroa is scheduled to sail fron Southampton on January 28 for Aucklant and Wellington. Captain W. Martin, late of the Maheno will take command of the Moeraki whicl leaves Dunedin to-day for Melbourne direct The Otama, which left St. John on Janu ary 1 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton Dunedin. Melbourne and Sydney, saile< from Colon on Saturday. She is due a Auckland on February 14 and at Dunedii on February 27. The Katoa was to leave Wellington yes terday for Lyrtelton, Dunedin and Bluff. The Union Steam Ship Company’ steamer Poolta sailed at 1.30 p.m. yester day for Timaru, leaving a clear wharf. A strong south-west wind blew at Bluf from Saturday night till yesterday, ap proaching at times the force of a gale. A large bush fire broke out behind the westerr extremity of the township, but the bush w& not large enough to cause alarm. FEDERAL LINE SAILINGS. Messrs J. G.
