’QUAKES IN CANADA
NINE SHOCKS IN ONE DAY. (Rec. 7.5 p.m.) Vancouver, January 16. The latest from Oalexice, California, shows that, nine earthquake shocks were felt to-day, which widened the fissures in the buddings which were damaged by the ’quakes three weeks ago, and caused residents to rush into the streets.—A and N.Z.
