DEFENCE OFFICER PLEADS GUILTY. MAGISTRATE RESERVES DECISION. (Per United Press Association.) Whangarei, January 17. Arthur Klambley, staff captain of the New Zealand Forces, late of Whangarei but now of Palmerston North, pleaded guilty to five charges of misappropriation of departmental monies totalling £BO 2/11 in the Magistrate’s Court to-day. Detectives Denorville read a statement from accused admitting all counts and ascribing the lapse to a nervous breakdown and general ill-health, caused through overwork. It wm explained accused had placed fictitious names on camp payrolls and also forage and groceries, the money being converted to his own use. He elected to be dealt with summarily. Mr. W. Levin, S.M., said he would take time to consider the matter.
