NINE COUPLES

SIMULTANEOUS WEDDINGS. ALL NUMBERED OFF. London, December 27. Hundreds of Christmas weddings were celebrated in London yesterday. Nine were conducted simultaneously in the Church of St. George the Martyr, Southwark, made famous by Dickens in “Little Dorritt.” The couples were lined up before the altar and numbered to prevent possible confusion.—Sun Special.
