A correspondent writing from Oregon (U.S.A.I to the Press, under dale May 24, states that it will no doubt interest sheepbreeders- ii. New Zealand to learn that Professor Wil.on, of the University of Nevada, and Mr Joseph Wilson, of Union City, Nevada, are on the eve of leaving for ‘'your part.” of the dominion with a commission from some twenty fiockoNvncrs in Nevada to purchase 200 of the best Corriedale stud sheep to be obtained in the dominion. A substantial sum of money is mentioned in the paper? as being provided by the ass-o-eiaterl body of Nevadians whose object is stated to be to encourage the establishment of the highly-prized New Zealand special bned, as wcil as to generally improve the present flocks. The wri cr, having in mind the fact that 300 guino is was not thought top high a price by Sail Franciscans who purchased so liberally a r the late Metropolitan Show, has advised inquirers in Oregon and Washington Counties to be prepared to spicnd considerably more than the sum mentioned, Nvhich, however, runs into a good few thousand dollars.
