(Received June' 1 25, 5.35 p.m.) The Derby winner, Spion Kop, and two other English horses were being taken to the Grand Brix meeting in France when their horse boxes caught, fire. The horses were rescued with difficulty, seemingly unharmed. CRICKET. LONDON, June 24. (Received June 25, 8.35 p.m.) Playing against a strong Surrey team on a good wicket, Bettington, for Oxford, took S wickets for 67 runs. LAWN TENNIS. WIMBLEDON TOURNAMENT. LONDON, June 23. (Received June 25, 5.35 p.m.) Tilden beat Parke o—3, 6—2, 6^, THE BRITISH DAVIS CUP TEAM. THIRD ROUND AT WIMBLEDON. LONDON, June 24. (Received June 25, 8.35 p.m.) The British Davis Cup team will be Parke, Roper-Barrctt, Kingscotc and Mavrogordato. The King and Queen attended the Wimbledon Tennis Tournament. In the third round Lycctt beat Doust, Garland beat Masterman, and Kingscote beat A. H. Lowe. Madamoiselle Lenglen and Miss Ryan won the first round of the ladies’ doubles.
