BUTTER AND CHEESE
I MARKETING IN BRITAIN. I PRODUCERS AND THE CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY. (Per United Press Association.) PALMERSTON NORTH, June 23. A very large conference of persons connected with the dairy industry to-day discussed the proposal of the National Dairy Association executive with regard to the marketing of butter and cheese. After a I discussion lasting for many hours,' in which | some very animated passages occurred, a motion by Mr Powdrell was carried without dissent —'‘That this meeting of producers is of opinion that immediate steps should he taken to join a company in New Zealand to co-operate with the Wholesale Cooperative Society for the marketing of our produce in Groat Britain.”
