MEMORIAL TO THE FALLEN 7 . STATUE IN LONDON. I j (Per United Press Association.) WHANGAREI, June 23. Gratification will be felt by all ex-mem-bers of the Imperial Camel Corps at the I news that Earl Winterton, second in comj mand of the Second Battalion, has informed | Major H. C. Hemphill that the British Com- | missioner of Works has sanctioned the erection of a statue in the Victoria Gardens at Westminster as a memorial to those brigade members who lost their lives in I’tdestine. The statue will take the form of a mounted camelman with plaques round the sides representative of the different units, including the Anzacs.
