GRADING OF TEACHERS
THE SCHEME DEFENDED. (Per United Press Association.) EKETAHUNA, June 22. The Pahiatua branch of the Teachers’ Institute by resolution expressed confidence in the present dominion grading scheme, congratulating the Assistant-Director of Education upon evolving a scheme in which previous anomalies have been reduced to a minimum; urging that the present system should be given a fair trial and protesting against any attempt to discredit or retard the operation of the scheme.
