Federal agepts arrested Frederick Girubel, head of great department stores on a charge of profiteering. It is announced that this is only the beginning of extensive prosecutions. It is alleged that Oimbei’s sold a suit costing 5 rlols. 50 cents for 20 dollars, a suit costing 33 dollars for 75 dollars, and another costing 15 dollars for 33 dollars 75 cents. Gimbel is held on 1000-dotlar bail pending heating in July.
