ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL. PROPOSED ENGLISH TOUR (By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) SYDNEY, June 21. (Received June 21, 8.10 p.m.) A meeting of the Soccer Football Association considered a proposal to bring out an English team next season. A letter was read from the secretary of the New Zealand Association asking for co operation in securing a team. The estimated cost was £4OOO, of which New Zealand was prepared to pay £ISOO if the team played in the Dominion. Queensland also offered to pky £IOOO. A final decision was deferred for a few weeks pending a representative of the Association visiting the other States with a view of securing support.
