GREAT BLAZE IN SCOTLAND. DEER PARK SACRIFICED TO SAVE TOWN. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright.) LONDON, June ,18. There have been astonishing forest fires in Scotland, including the Glentanar Forest, which threatened the destruction of Aboyne, a famous Dee-side resort. Troops were called out and thousands of beaters v/ere engaged. Finally Lord Glentanar ordered that the Aboyne deer forest should be fired and this saved Aboyne by holding up the oncoming Glentanar fire. Ten thousand animals were roasted to death.
