PAPANUI NOTES, The returns for the sixth week show an improvement on those of the week previous, though the severe frosts are retarding the full production of several pens. With the creditable score of 18 for the week, T. King’s three-bird team shares the top score with a team of Black Orpington* entered by T. Conway. Mrs Gorinski’s No. 1 team is credited with 16 for the week, while C. Thomson's best team put on 10, the latter breeder’s birds not showing to the advantage they did in their splendid performance of last year- _ . S. Beer has unfortunately a bird oft m his leading team, though this breeder”* single-pen bird produced 7 for the week, the only one laying daily. In the light breed flock teams the score* are rather disappointing, the highest for the week being a team of H. Ball s with ■ score of 27.
